Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Officer is responsible for driving purchasing initiatives, supporting internal departments, and maintaining and developing supplier relationships.

**CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Purchase supply of products/materials
- Analyse & interpret demand forecast and changes to ensure 'in stock' position at all times - across business divisions
- Track and record orders
- Proactively engage the supply base
- Consistently engage internal stakeholder on change, version control & consumption rates of Packaging materials
- Monitor order expenses
- Weekly stocktaking category management and data entry
- Track delivery performance
- Highlight risks and opportunities linked to supply status & changing demand
- Communicate supplier performance and cost variation/s to management
- Recommend new processes or systems for improvement; implement new ideas and strategies
- Any other duties as reasonably required or directed

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**
- Prior experience working in a busy environment as a Purchasing Officer/Buyer, preferably in FMCG
- Advanced Excel skills is a must as demand forecast will be run of spreadsheets
- Strong background in inventory management
- Display a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A positive "can do" attitude

**Location**: Brisbane, Australia - hybrid work model

**Start Date**: ASAP - can wait a notice period
