Temporary Contract for a port Authority.

We have an exciting opportunity for a 3-month temporary position within a local port authority.
**Your new role**
Reporting to the Manager Government and Public Relations, this role undertakes corporate affairs tasks and projects in line with Fremantle Ports' strategic plan. This work requires research, planning, collaboration, communication and high-level writing skills.
Key duties include:
- Undertake website and social media updates
- Provide strategic communications advice and support to Fremantle Ports staff
- Develop and provide presentations and tours to industry, government, trade, community and education groups, as required
- Liaise with State Government agencies and Local Authorities on joint issues
- Plan and prepare speeches, articles, reports, publications, electronic newsletters and other material, as required
- Contribute to the media liaison and social media functions
**What you need to succeed**
**Qualifications, Training & Experience**
- Tertiary qualification in a communications discipline or relevant industry experience
- Experience in corporate communications and/or journalism
- Understanding of government processes
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of web management and social media
- Photographic and video capture and editing skills desirable
