OverviewThe Opportunity Public Sector People are partnering with a State Government Department to recruit an AO5 Project Advisor for a long-term temporary contract through to September 2028.
This role is located in the Sunshine Coast.
This role is ideal for a professional with strong project administration and coordination skills, who enjoys supporting the successful delivery of significant government projects while working in a collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-level project and administrative support to the Manager and project teamCoordinate meetings, take minutes, and track actions and decisionsSupport risk and issue management, including the development of mitigation strategiesAssist with tender and procurement processesManage project documentation, reporting, and quality assurance activitiesPrepare briefing notes, reports, and submissionsUndertake data analysis and project performance reportingSupport project health checks, contractor surveillance, and compliance monitoringProvide oversight and support to project support staff when requiredEnsure project activities align with departmental policies, guidelines, and standardsAbout You / QualificationsDemonstrated experience in project coordination or administration within complex environmentsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing prioritiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsConfidence in liaising with a range of stakeholders to achieve outcomesPrevious government or large project experience (highly regarded)BenefitsContract security until September 2028Flexible working arrangements (WFH options available)Opportunity to support significant state-wide projects
