Why this role matters

As the Logistics Coordinator you will manage the logistics operations pertaining to Doorways WA.

Doorways, whilst providing support to meet the initial crisis need, also focuses on building the capacity of people who repeatedly present in financial crisis. It will provide a prevention and early intervention response to people in need, in an effort to prevent the initial crisis escalating out of control and further entrenching them in poverty and disadvantage.

The role you could play
- Manage resources to achieve successful program outcomes with specified guidelines.
- Provide general logístical and volunteer related oversight and advice to the Doorways Regional Manager
- Contribute to strategic planning direction, tender preparation, program design and development as requested to the Doorways Regional Manager
- Manage the delivery, collection, sorting, storage and distribution of donated and purchased goods for Doorways
- Manage the Doorways programs process of volunteering, ensuring appropriate integrity checks; insurance coverage, volunteer job descriptions and necessary training are completed
- Strengthen and encourage partnerships through promoting programs that run at Doorways Perth
- Increase community awareness of Doorways through established networks and by attending appropriate networking opportunities as directed

What you will bring
- Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Development, Welfare or relevant experience
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
- A current and valid Working with Children Check
- A current Western Australian Drivers licence
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
