Overview
Expression of Interest: Supervisor - Mining Site- Join to apply for the role atProgrammed Facility Management.
Seeking a seasoned Supervisor to lead a high-performing team at Loy Yang.
This role demands hands-on leadership, deep familiarity with unionized environments, and proven experience managing teams in coal-fired power generation or similar industrial settings.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily power station activities across mechanical systems, with a focus on conveyor operations and shutdown execution
Ensure compliance with site safety protocols, union agreements, and environmental standards
Coach and mentor trades personnel, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
Liaise with planning teams to align work scopes with operational priorities
Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations
Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to site procedures
Drive KPI-linked outcomes in reliability, safety, and team engagement
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a Supervisor or Team Leader role
Background in mechanical, technical, or trade-based work
Willing to drive or relocate to Traralgon or nearest city to site
Belt and idler conveyor experience is highly desirable
Strong understanding of mining planning, scheduling, and resource management
Excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills
Experience managing crews on active sites
Strong focus on safety, quality assurance, and operational excellence
Proactive, organized, and solutions-driven
