Overview

Expression of Interest: Supervisor - Mining Site - Join to apply for the role at Programmed Facility Management.

Seeking a seasoned Supervisor to lead a high-performing team at Loy Yang. This role demands hands-on leadership, deep familiarity with unionized environments, and proven experience managing teams in coal-fired power generation or similar industrial settings.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate daily power station activities across mechanical systems, with a focus on conveyor operations and shutdown execution
  • Ensure compliance with site safety protocols, union agreements, and environmental standards
  • Coach and mentor trades personnel, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
  • Liaise with planning teams to align work scopes with operational priorities
  • Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to site procedures
  • Drive KPI-linked outcomes in reliability, safety, and team engagement
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a Supervisor or Team Leader role
  • Background in mechanical, technical, or trade-based work
  • Willing to drive or relocate to Traralgon or nearest city to site
  • Belt and idler conveyor experience is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of mining planning, scheduling, and resource management
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills
  • Experience managing crews on active sites
  • Strong focus on safety, quality assurance, and operational excellence
  • Proactive, organized, and solutions-driven
