
Project Engineer

The UGL/TasWater alliance are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to deliver a project for the TasWater Capital Delivery Office (CDO).
The role is part of the delivery team for a large civil project and will drive design coordination, procurement, contractor management and works planning.
Based on site from Monday to Friday only, your experience delivering projects while ensuring high standards of safety and quality will see you excel within the business.
The role demands strong field presence, proactive risk mitigation and a collaborative mindset to align with CDO goals.
Key Responsibilities: · Assist the Project Manager with compliance to the documentation required under the UGL and TW CDO Management System· Review and plan the project with the Project Manager to ensure technical aspects of the job are clear and to become familiar with contractual arrangements made with the client and subcontractors· Provide a focal point for all technical based queries for associated subcontractors / suppliers· Liaise with designers as required, as well as with the Construction Superintendent, Project Manager and the Project Planner regarding schedule issues and status of activities and suggest mitigation strategies where needed· Oversee the Site Engineers preparation of all Inspection and Test Plans and associated Project Specific Procedures· Assist the Project Manager with all procurement and purchases of goods and services· Perform assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks and methods to manage the hazards in order to prevent incidents, injury and damage.
· Assist the Project Manager in preparation of monthly reports and also attend the monthly report meetings with the client.
· Complete any administration tasks associated with direct or indirect reports· Responsibilities as per Work Health Safety Training Needs Analysis Matrix· Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements About You · Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, ideally Civil or Structural Engineering.
· Extensive knowledge of civil and structural (concrete) standards and construction methodologies.

These extensive, interesting, and varied works form part of TasWater's $1.2 billion, capital works program that is being rolled out across the state of Tasmania.
The CDO is an alliance formed between TasWater, CPB Contractors, and UGL Limited (both members of the CIMIC Group) along with WSP Australia, to create the TasWater Capital Delivery Office.
