The Front Office Manager manages all operational activities of the hotel's front office to provide the highest standards of customer service while meeting and exceeding profit levels. Communicates effectively in writing and verbally to provide direction to staff. Observes performance and encourages improvement. Trains, supervises, evaluates, counsels, and administers progressive disciplinary procedures for the front office team. Interacts positively with guests and takes action to resolve issues to the satisfaction of guest/Resort.
**Job Duties include, but are not limited to**:
- Assist the Hotel Manager by supervising the daily operational activities to achieve high levels of guest service
- Maintains high standards throughout daily assignment and assists the front desk agents in doing the same
- Coordinates, administers, and contributes input to required meetings.
- Sets standard for the team: upholding the requirements of BSL as well as standards communicated by management
- Communicates effectively and immediately any situations which may require management assistance
- Takes immediate corrective action when guests' needs are not met
- Prepare and disperse rosters for Front Office & Night Audit staff
- Assists in emergency and security procedures as directed by the established emergency plan
- Creates and maintains scripting standards and guidelines for guest interactions
- Ensures effective communication between Managers and line staff
- Ensures all training requirements are being met 100% at the Front Desk & Guest Service
**We're looking for people with**:
- Punctual and professional appearance - required
- Knowledge of Mircosoft Office, basic typing skills and computer knowledge - required
- Previous customer service experience, specifically hotel experience - preferred
- Knowledge of hotel systems - preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend correspondence in English - required
- Ability to effectively present detailed information both verbally and in written form to guests - required
- Must have excellent guest and associate relations skills -required
- Possess strong organizational and verbal communication skills - required
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service - required
- Ability to work under pressure - required
- Excellent grooming standards - required
- Impeccable phone manner - required
- The ability to work unsupervised and to be a team player - required
- Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations
