Our client, a well-known Tier One Mining Operator, is looking for a Specialist Portfolio Planner to join them on a six month contract basis.

If you have previously worked as a project manager in the IT space or you are a guru with Power BI, keep reading

**About the role**:

- Work closely with the Asset Principal Portfolio Engineer to understand the project team business requirements
- Facilitate Microsoft Office Power BI and Microsoft Office SharePoint solution design, working with process specialists to convert ideas and problem statements into solutions
- Gather and analyse data concerning existing performing metrics of Microsoft Office Power BI and Microsoft Office SharePoint reporting to the Asset Principal Portfolio Engineer
- Gather, document and analyse business requirements in project management and problem solve with the Asset Principal Portfolio Engineer
- Develop the documentation and training presentations for business case for proposed solutions supporting the projects teams
- Planning and monitoring of project progress (development and maturation of Dashboard and SharePoint) and value realisation

**About You**:

- Experience with developing Microsoft Office Power BI Dashboards and Microsoft Office SharePoints (a must)
- Project Management experience desirable, having a PMP is beneficial
- Experience working in business improvement roles
- Responsibility for planning, monitoring and governance of project reporting systems; Microsoft Office Power BI and Microsoft Office SharePoint
- Experience developing business cases based on strong data analytics and evidence
- Understands the impact of change on team processes; Risk, Productivity and Culture
- Participates in and leads change management activities for small scale change processes
- Creates systems and processes for successful execution, communicating these by training the necessary stakeholders and establishing a communication plan
- Able to identify and analyse problems associated with Power BI dashboard, SharePoint and Project best practises and make recommendations by engaging with team members/stakeholders close to the problem
