The hospital provides services to a population of about 240,000 people and has 550 physical beds, including 460 acute overnight and 90 day beds. The Emergency Department provides care for 70 000 patients annually. Approximately 25% of the case load is paediatric. It also runs a 20 bed Emergency Medical Unit.
