**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**
We are looking for a Security Architect to develop, communicate and maintain the approach taken by the organisation for enterprise-wide information security architecture.

This is through:

- Input into strategies and roadmaps
- Development of security patterns and standards
- Provision of security advice and consultancy services to all areas of the business

You will be working closely with analysts in the business, technology and security teams to provide guidance, architectural advice/patterns to ensure the successful delivery of the software.

Working to define the as-is architecture, work to define to-be structure and plan out the evolution required to migrate to the end goal. You will need to assess technical solutions and recommend the best course of action. This body of work will involve the migration of an on-prem system to a cloud first approach.

**POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Coaching and influencing stakeholders in different areas of the business to improve cyber security outcomes.
- Provide expertise, leadership, guidance and support to technical and business project teams in the development, communication and full lifecycle management of enterprise aligned cyber security architectures
- Promoting a proactive focus on security architecture through early intervention in technology project lifecycles; ensuring projects maintain an enterprise-wide view.
- Document, review and update architecture materials.
- Ensure that development and projects comply with agreed security standards and patterns.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (eg computer science or IT degree), industry certifications (eg CISM, CISSP, TOGAF, SABSA, GIAC) and/or relevant industry experience
- Significant experience in developing, communicating and maintaining cyber security architectures and roadmaps
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence other senior technical and business staff, without these people being direct reports
- High level written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to affect change through technical leadership
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment

Insurance or financial services knowledge is desirable.
