Using a flexible and adaptable approach the responsibilities of the Handyman include:

- Carry out Preventative and Reactive general maintenance duties including but not limited to Air
- Conditioning, Painting, Plumbing, Tiling & Carpentry, as required
- Liaise with Facilities I Maintenance Managers and Supervisors to efficiently carry out the tasks and services

required of BGIS under the terms of the Contract;
- Full compliance and consistency with the contract and BGIS business systems
- OHS & E policies and procedures are met and maintained by all stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated understanding of a PPP environment
- Strong demonstrated experience or exposure to building/facilities management environments.
- Strong demonstrated experience in a property or corporate real estate environment or at a senior level in a similarly complex industry. Essential.
- Experience in a building I facilities management environment.
- Good Verbal & Written Communication Skills.
- Proven capability of working within an environment using QA, OH&S, and environmental systems;
- Ability to develop safe work method statements for relevant work tasks.
- Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach to problems and opportunities.

Desirable:

- Retail or Commercial Building Maintenance Experience.
- Handyman Experience in Plumbing, Painting, Tiling, Carpentry & General Repairs.

**Qualifications Essential**

High School Certificate or equivalent

Training in current OH&S, QA, and ideally environmental legislations and systems;

**Desirable**

PPP Experience - Electrical or Relevant trade qualification - TAFE or equivalent

Formal tertiary qualifications in building/facilities management-related discipline

EWP Ticket

Current Drivers Licence
