Female Disability/Aged Care Support Worker

**The Support worker must be reliable and committed to working ongoing regular hours with regular clients/participants consistent with the job description below.**

**This position requires filling ASAP, with a start date to commence within the next 1-3 weeks.**

Home Caring Shoalhaven is an ethical and fast-growing provider of NDIS and Aged Care services across the scenic South Coast, extending from North Nowra/Shoalhaven Heads to Burrill Lake, covering the beautiful Shoalhaven region.

We are seeking reliable, understanding and empathetic casual Support Workers to assist with the provision of high-quality exceptional care to a range of fantastic clients and participants currently engaged in various towns within the Shoalhaven.

Our Support Workers are home-based and utilise a mobile work model (with electronic support for administration), attracting a travel reimbursement and ongoing training opportunities, appropriate to client need.

There is scope for our support staff to work specifically with NDIS participants, Aged Care clients or a mix of both.

**Main responsibilities and activities may include**:

- Assistance with care in the home (bathing, toileting, mobility)
- Getting out for social engagement, activities and attending appointments **(own vehicle essential)**:

- Assistance with household tasks (may include cleaning, meal preparation)
- Assistance with supervising medication administration
- Light administrative duties (record maintenance, reporting)

**Requirements**:

- A genuine passion to work alongside participants/the elderly and to make a positive and lasting difference in their lives
- Reliable, committed, and prepared to make the clients a high priority
- Professional or lived experience of the NDIS and/or Aged Care sectors is highly regarded
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Qualification in Disability, Aged Care or related field
- Experience of complex behaviours and behaviour support methods (a bonus - not a requirement)
- Excellent communication skills, commitment to a **person-centred** focus and flexibility to support needs based on individual circumstances
- A sense of humour (another bonus - not a requirement)
- Resilience and compassion
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Current National Police check
- Current NSW Drivers Licence & access to a reliable vehicle
- The right to work in Australia

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 30 per week
