Key Engineer Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced engineer who can effectively maintain, repair and overhaul 4-stroke engines. The right individual will have excellent technical knowledge of reciprocating engine mechanics and be able to solve complex problems with minimal supervision.
Job Description
As a Key Engineer in our Workshop, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment by performing routine maintenance, repairs and overhauls. This includes:
Performing regular checks on engine components to identify potential issues before they become major problems
Carrying out scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes and filter replacements
Repairing and replacing damaged or worn-out parts
Overhauling cylinder heads, bores and sealing surfaces to ensure precision and adherence to specifications
You will work closely with other engineers and technicians to ensure that all work is executed efficiently and effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Extensive experience in maintaining, repairing and overhauling 4-stroke engines
Strong technical knowledge of reciprocating engine mechanics, including turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems and cooling systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
A valid Australian driver's license

Physical and Mental Requirements
The physical demands of this role include lifting 20 kg, carrying 10 kg, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. You must also be able to mount and dismount a forklift and drive a vehicle locally or over long distances.
Travel may be required for training or work purposes.
