The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.
About the role
The Project Officer will support the successful implementation of the ARC Expansion Project, through the provision of a range of project support functions and general administration. The role supports the delivery of the implementation of recommendations from the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System and the Court's commitment to service excellence.
About you
Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian Courts and Tribunals, with particular reference to problem-solving courts and therapeutic jurisprudence. Demonstrated expertise or knowledge of the principles and processes of project management, project lifecycle stages and project management methodologies and software. Ensure compliance by assisting the team with the project lifecycle management and approvals process to deliver effective outcomes. Demonstrated experience in creating briefings, program or project reports and provide advice to enable effective decision making. Project management qualifications or equivalent experience in project management is highly desirable.
