An exciting opportunity exists for aself-motivated and experienced Transport Allocatorto become a vital part of our growing team.
We are a24/7 operation, and our shifts are based on a4 on / 3 off roster, scheduled to best support the needs of the role and business operations.
If you thrive in afast-paced environmentand have a solid understanding oftransport logistics, we want to hear from you.
4 days on / 3 days off
Shift options:
4:00 AM – 4:00 PM
4:00 PM – 4:00 AM
Sunday to Wednesday
Wednesday to Saturday
Accurate and timelytracking and data entry
Ensuring alldriver paperworkis completed daily
Planning and schedulinglocal pickups and deliveries
Identifying and resolvingoperational issues as they arise
Makingconfident, informed decisionsunder pressure
Maintaining compliance withChain of Responsibility (CoR)requirements
Clear and effective communication withinternal teams and external stakeholders
Promoting and supporting asafe and healthy work environment
Participating insafety initiatives and toolbox talks
Optimising load capacitiesfor efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Leading by example –professional presentation and high standards
Monitoring and managingReefer units
Qualifications & Requirements
Ability towork autonomouslyand within a team
Minimum 2 years' experiencein an operations or supervisory role within theheavy vehicle industry
Ability to provideup-to-date, contactable references
Willingness tolearn internal software systems
Capable of performing under pressure in atime-critical environment
Strong written and verbal communicationskills
Current forklift licencewill be very adventageos
Weekly pay cycle
No after-hours calls
Company-supplied uniforms
Genuine opportunity for growthwithin the business
Availability during peak periods(Christmas, Easter, and other major holidays) is essential –holiday blackout periods apply
Successful applicants must pass apre-employment medical, includingdrug and alcohol testing
There isno public transportavailable to the worksite –reliable personal transport is required
