Job Overview
The role of a Senior Infrastructure Designer involves leading and managing the delivery of road design projects from conception to completion. This includes overseeing the project team, ensuring timely completion within agreed budgets and deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading cross-functional teams in planning, resourcing and executing road design projects;
Identifying and resolving technical issues related to road design through collaboration with team members;
Developing and implementing effective project plans, including resource allocation and budget management;
Ensuring compliance with relevant design standards, codes and regulations;
Maintaining open communication channels with stakeholders, including project managers, team leaders and clients;
Required skills and qualifications include:
Qualifications & Experience
A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required;
Proficiency in 12D software is essential, with experience in Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads highly desirable;
Demonstrated expertise in road infrastructure design, particularly for roads and highways;
Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design and local authority CADD standards is required;
