We manufacture goods that you see, touch and use every day and our customer base includes some of the biggest names in FMCG, Retail and Fresh Produce.Discover the Opportunity...We have an exciting opportunity to join the Opal team as our Opal Bags Solutions site in Thomastown is currently looking to for new machine operators/ production line operators to join the team on the day shift (7:30am to 3:35pm) and the afternoon shift (3:30pm to 11:35pm).
You will contribute to the success of Opal by:Operate machinery (including printers) in a safe mannerMaintain a clean and well organised workspaceCommunicate with other team members and team leadersWork efficiently to achieve production targetsPerform quality checksUphold safety standardsWe are able to offer a varied career journey with experiential learning gained from cross-functional and lateral moves.

Specifically for this role, we are ideally looking for:Experience in running a high-speed production line (this is a requirement for the role)Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferableExperience working with fibre industries (such as food packaging or paper) would be viewed favourably, but is not requiredHave a strong work ethic and the willingness to learnGood communication skills & ability to follow instructionsA positive team player, with a good eye for detailApplications are now open to internal and external candidates, so if this sounds like the role for you apply now
