Please note, there is no camp facility onsite and successful applicants will need to live in the South West region.You will report to our Maintenance Coordinator and will be responsible for, but not limited to;Conducting both routine and complex maintenance and testing procedures on a wide range of plant equipment, including:Caterpillar D7R and D10T DozersModern fleet of Cat 982 XE Production LoadersCat 938 and 950 LoadersPerforming fault diagnosis, installation, maintenance, and repair tasks across site equipment and infrastructure.Servicing and maintaining various diesel-powered fixed plant pumps and trailers.Attending to breakdowns and minor works on the small light vehicle (LV) fleet.
(Note: All LV servicing is managed off-site.)Carrying out general inspections and providing support for plant maintenance as required.Strictly adhering to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.Supporting the production team with maintenance services to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.Monitoring equipment performance to identify and address potential issues proactively.Completing daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance activities for mobile equipment, wet plant operations, and site services.About YouTo be successful in this role you will have:A Trade Qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent) with at least 3 years' experience.Previous experience working as a heavy diesel mechanic, maintaining fixed and mobile plant in the Mining sector (or similar)Proven experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant, trucks, or earthmoving equipment.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and precision.Good communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated strong commitment to safetyAbility to work independently or as part of a cohesive, multi-trade maintenance teamLive local to site as there is no camp on site.
