**About the role**:
We are seeking an Environment & Sustainability Specialist to join our HSE team in Castlemaine.

This role will provide support to all levels within the organisation and further embed a culture of sustainability, environmental best practice and compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will drive environmental management processes across all our operations under ISO 14001 principles.

Please note this role requires weekly travel to both farms in regional Victoria.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure compliance with GWF and Don environmental management requirements, ISO 14001, and legal and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with regulatory bodies on behalf of Don in line with legal counsel recommendations
- Develop, implement, and report on environmental and sustainability strategy, programs, systems and impact reduction
- Drive compliance with legislation, systems and plans through a risk-based audit program
- Drive environmental and sustainability knowledge development through inductions, training provision and coaching
- Engage with our local communities on environmental issues and proactively manage community engagement programs
- Develop induction, training, and communication content reflective of our environment and sustainability program and legal requirements

**About you**:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Environmental Engineering highly desirable
- 5 + years Environment / Sustainability experience
- Proven experience identifying and deploying process improvements
- ISO 14001 implementation and audit experience
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships at all levels
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to provide 'hands-on' support to all levels within the organisation
