Learn more at roleAt Ingram Micro, we're looking for a confident, analytical, and proactive Business & Logistics Operations Analyst to join our Retail division in Melbourne.This role will be the right-hand to our Operations Manager, driving cost efficiency and delivering insights that inform critical decisions across transport, finance, and vendor/customer operations.
This is a broad and high-impact role that combines commercial analytics, logistics operations, project support, and stakeholder engagement.
You'll be responsible for demand forecasting, transport cost modelling, financial tracking, customer/vendor reporting, and leading data-driven insights that inform decision-making.Role Responsibilities Deliver clear, data-driven insights through confident analysis and presentations to internal stakeholders, customers, and vendorsForecast and validate weekly/monthly demand, tracking variances and identifying trends that impact operationsDrive continuous improvement across transport, warehousing, and logistics through cost-to-serve and process analysisPartner with finance on monthly cost tracking, freight accruals, and return rate analysisLead vendor allocation strategies, product launches, and stock release planningIdentify and address supply chain inefficiencies through actionable recommendationsPrepare and deliver reports using Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, and BI tools — Power BI a bonusManage cross-functional projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentRole Requirement Proven experience in an analyst, logistics, or commercial operations roleStrong data presentation skills – you can communicate the "why" behind the numbersHigh proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; SAP and BI (Power BI, CVP, HPCM) a plusUnderstanding of transport, logistics, or supply chain analyticsFinancial acumen – confident with accruals, cost tracking, and return ratiosProactive and independent – you own your work, spot problems early, and drive changeComfortable engaging with stakeholders from customers to senior leadersAbility to challenge constructively, offer differing opinions, and present recommendationsStrong attention to detail, planning, and organisationBachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred)What's On OfferYour growth is our priority.
