**Overview**:
Retaining Specialists is a company based in Sydney that designs, supplies and constructs all facets of soil and rock stabilization throughout NSW.

We are looking for a Driller (Geotechnical/Construction drilling), who will be responsible to perform as a part of the construction process. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in NSW.

**Main tasks**:

- Reading plans and engineering drawings to determine work specifications.
- Establish drilling compounds and setting out jobs via measurements and installation/erection of pipes, catch fences and drapes.
- Operate Excavator Ripamonte 180 Drill Rig and fittings.
- Hand drilling - hollow bar with air and solid bar with air & water.
- Install rock bolts and soil nails.
- Use grout equipment and grout mixing techniques.
- Reporting via drilling logs, drilling ITPs and record compliance results; record safety and environmental incidents; preparing weekly job cost reports; record and report variations; and reporting drilling and shotcrete production rates.
- Provide regular feedback about output and productivity of workers.

**Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience**:

- Minimum of a Certificate, and at least a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the industry.

**Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge**:

- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of materials, terms, and practices in the construction field.
- Ability to deal with constant interruptions and changing deadlines/priorities.
- Ability to perform independently, or in a team environment, and take direction from the supervisor.

Annual salary will be between $75.000,00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
