Development Manager – Commercial & Retail
A rare opportunity to step into a senior Development Manager role leading major
commercial and retail
projects across SEQ.
Ascend Recruit are seeking a seasoned professional with
8+ years' experience
in property development to manage the full lifecycle of complex developments - from feasibility and approvals through to delivery and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end development of
commercial and retail projects
Lead
site acquisition, feasibility analysis
, and project structuring
Oversee planning approvals, design coordination, and authority negotiations
Manage
consultant teams
, contractors, and key project stakeholders
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies
Report on project performance to internal and external stakeholders
Drive value creation and ensure alignment with project and business goals
What You'll Bring
8+ years' experience
in property development
Proven expertise in
commercial and/or retail projects
(essential)
Strong financial modelling and project feasibility skills
Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management
Strategic thinker with hands-on delivery experience
