APS6/EL1 Governance and Risk Officer position available

**Your new company**

This Federal Government Corporate Commonwealth entity works to improve the competitiveness of renewable energy technologies and increase the supply of renewable energy in Australia. Currently, they are seeking an APS6/EL1 Governance and Risk Officer to join their team.

**Your new role**

You will provide a range of high-level governance and risk-related support services across the agency. This includes creating a strong rapport with stakeholders, working in collaboration with personnel to respond to agency-wide requests and coordinating and managing the government business functions across the agency, including estimates preparation and coordinating agency-wide responses to requests for information from the Department and Minister's Office.

Your duties will include coordinating and assisting with the development and implementation of risk management and assurance related activities across the agency. This involves building risk capability through effective communication and ongoing development of risk planning tools and resources through effective communication and ongoing development of risk planning tools and resources to raise awareness of the principles, methods and benefits of practical risk management.

As well as this, you will:

- Provide risk management advice, analytics and insights;
- Lead on risk governance matters including enterprise, operational and strategic risks;
- Develop briefings, communications, and prepare and assist with written and verbal correspondence and communications;
- Participate and contribute to meetings, committees and forums about risk and assurance.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in this role, you will be dynamic and responsive, you will have demonstrated experience providing high-level support and timely coordination of key cross-organisational business processes and projects, and the ability to quickly understand and potentially improve the agency's key reporting processes and workflows.

You will bring:

- Demonstrable experience in risk management and portfolio coordination.
- Knowledge of relevant Commonwealth legislation, policy and guidance is beneficial.
- Ideally, experience working as a Governance Officer in a similar capacity.

To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
