About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, hands-on individual who enjoys variety in their work and thrives in a team environment. This dual role combines trade counter sales with warehouse operations, giving you the opportunity to engage directly with customers while supporting the smooth running of our warehouse.
You'll work closely with builders, tilers, and retail customers, providing expert advice, preparing orders, and ensuring stock is well managed. Heavy lifting is a regular part of the role, so safe manual handling practices and strong attention to WH&S are essential.
A positive customer experience is at the heart of this role, and your ability to deliver great service will be key to achieving individual and team sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional customer service and sales support at the trade counter and showroom
Assist customers with product selection, design advice, and quotations
Liaise with builders, tilers, and retail clients
Receive, process, and manage incoming goods, including damaged stock claims
Prepare and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently
Safely perform manual lifting and operate warehouse equipment
Operate warehouse systems and support stock control/ordering
Deliver customer orders using company vehicles (ute and small truck)
Maintain a safe and organised warehouse environment in line with WH&S policies
Skills & Requirements
Previous experience in flooring, trade, or warehouse operations (preferred)
Comfortable with heavy lifting and committed to safe manual handling processes
Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Focused on creating positive customer experiences to drive sales targets
Intermediate computer skills
Enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive "can-do" attitude
Willingness to learn and grow within the business
