**Role Description/Criteria**
At Emmaus we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school.
You will believe in growing the whole child - spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally and physically. You will also be naturally inclusive and dedicated to quality differentiation and personalised learning for all.
This teaching role would suit applicants who are risk takers, creative, open to new learning and willing to share their knowledge and pedagogy with others. Full time teachers at Emmaus, engage in four days of face to face teaching and participate in one day of facilitated and personal planning a week. This year, we will begin a 3 year project with Real Schools exploring Restorative Practices and Culture as well as continuing our journey with the Science of Reading.
The applicant will possess the understandings, skills and ability to implement high expectations for all. You will have excellent communication skills and be team orientated as we collaboratively collect and analyse data, plan, teach, evaluate and report student learning together. Being prepared to learn and grow as well as open to new ways of working is an essential part of this role. You will be effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student wellbeing practices.
In addition, successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- commitment to the Catholic Ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching and an ability to live the school's vision and culture
- commitment to the Emmaus Child Safe Policy and the Staff Code of Conduct (both can be found on our website)
Special Requirements
- accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation
- current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
- please include at least 3 referees - one being your current Principal
