**Assistant Director - Truscott St OOSH**

Truscott Street OOSH and Vacation Care is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Director/Educational

Leader to join our team.

We are a relatively small centre with a capacity of 95 beautiful children, with great resources, a nurturing environment and a supportive school community. As the Assistant Director, you will be supported by an experienced Director and keen and energetic staffing team. The Centre is operated by Truscott Street Public School P&C Association, via a very understanding parent management subcommittee.

This is a permanent position (up to 38 hours per week) made up of face-to-face shifts (7:00-9:00am and 2:00- 6:00pm) during term and up to 8 hours/day during Vacation Care. Additional hours will be made up with dedicated administration time for programming and other tasks as set out in the position description.

**Essentials**:

- At least 2 years of experience working in a childcare setting, preferably with school aged children.
- Current First Aid Certificate, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, CPR and WWCC, OR willing to obtain.
- Thorough understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality

Regulations.
- In depth knowledge of the My Time, Our Place / Early Years Learning Framework and the ability to plan and implement a recreational and learning program for primary school aged children.
- Ability to develop positive relationships with children, families and staff.
- The ability to lead a large group of staff in the day to day operations of the service.

**Desirable**:

- OOSH related qualifications: Degree in Primary/Early Education / Diploma in Children's

Services / Diploma/Cert IV in OSHC / Cert III in Children's Services or currently working towards.
- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership or management position - team leader / asst. coordinator / coordinator / educational leader / room leader.

Knowledge of WH&S requirements in a childcare setting.
