**What you will be doing**
The role maximises our return on cylinder asset investment, drive up cylinder utilisation, optimise inventory days of cover and that cylinders are distributed at the lowest cost to the business.
- Planning the cylinder supply chain through complex spreadsheets and analytics, and ensure all facets of the national cylinder supply chain are considered and effectively managed
- Ensure your planning considers current and forecast new business demand requirements.
- Actively monitor out of test cylinders and be responsible for producing the test station production plan
- Manage stock and procurement of cylinder accessories (eg valves, handles, pallets
- Manage the replenishment and purchasing of 3rd party filled and imported products
- Manage the inventory and demand planning for a range of products sold through Bunnings, to lead the supply chain planning activities for all new Bunnings store roll outs, support Bunnings distribution improvement projects and present supply chain updates to senior stakeholders in the Sales and Ops Planning meetings
- Model a strong continuous improvement ethos and actively seek out and lead supply chain improvement initiatives which deliver improvements to cylinder utilisation and working capital and reduce freight and operational costs
- Coordinate with forwarders for importation and exportation of gas product in containers or ISO tanks for timely arrival to keep smooth product supply chain flow to customers
**What we need from you**
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics
- Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain and / or Operations
- Strong analytical skills, with a very good level of Microsoft Excel knowledge
- KPI management experience
- Advanced communications & presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and all levels
- Strong business, financial & commercial acumen
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Detailed knowledge of inventory systems, demand planning and replenishment methodologies
- Experience with international freight for product import and export
