Information management specialist contract job in Hobart suburbs
**Your new company**
Our client is one of Tasmania's largest employers, with multiple sites across Tasmania. Located in Hobart's Northern suburbs, they are looking for an experienced information management specialist to join a small specialised team.
**Your new role**
This role is an integral part of the larger organisation, where you will ensure the integrity and uplift of information management, by partnering with key business groups to provide specialist and technical expertise across all areas of the business information lifecycle. You will mentor and advocate change, by supporting key business teams to develop and implement information management practices and solutions, and embed information management risk and compliance responsibilities. In addition to this, you will provide expert advice and input to the continuous development and improvement of processes for the management of information, including information disposal, migration, legacy systems and decommissioning.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 5+ years experience in information management, and expertise in managing information in an electronic document and records management system (EDRMS). Ideally, you will have demonstrated understanding of the National Archives of Australia, as well as experience in implementing innovation and methodologies for information and records management and the continual improvement of more effective and efficient business processes.
