**About the Role**
As a Social Media Specialist, you are responsible for the development and management of engaging organic social plans, strategies and content creation. You will embody all elements of social knowledge and have an understanding of both paid and organic media programs, and be responsible for developing and implementing strategies across several key accounts, proactive briefs and new business opportunities.
You are agile in your role, and confident to take on a range of social media-based work. You will have a passion for creative work and emerging trends on platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat.
You will be responsible for championing social best practices and evolving our Agency approach to social processes and tools to ensure our people and our clients get the best outcomes.
A Social Media Specialist also supports other members of the strategy team and wider agency with social data, research, insights and recommendations that bring ideas to life.
**Key Responsibilities**
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
- Develop tactical and always-on programs of work - specialising in organic content
- Manage, schedule and optimise organic content in line with clients' social strategies and goals
- Develop community management guidelines and escalation processes
- Manage community managers (if applicable),and execute community management where required
CONTENT CREATION
- Design and building organic social content as required, including content formats within the platform (Instagram Reels and Stories, TikTok videos)
- Skilled in capturing and editing organic content for TikTok videos and Instagram reels, in line with platform best practice and trends
SOCIAL MEDIA STRATEGY
- Develop and optimise social strategies with a solid understanding of the function and ad opportunities of all mainstream social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat etc
- Analyse digital campaigns and platform performance using various tracking platforms such as Meta insights and Sprout Social
- Constantly staying abreast of the latest social media trends and the underlying implications these have, with the ability to quickly adjust strategies to fit this
- Pull out meaningful insights and data, and make sound recommendations on how to improve
- Lead social best practice and platform-specific deep-dive workshops to improve agency knowledge
- Build engagement and mitigate risk across all channels
- Have a solid understanding of paid social strategy and implementation to provide an informed point of view where required
- Consult with creative teams to support them in developing socially native ideas for major client projects and campaigns
STRATEGY
- While you are focused on social media and content you are all always considering how your social plans fit into the overall integrated communications strategy, and how you can guide business management, digital, creative teams with frameworks for the role of social, messages across the customer journey etc.
- You are invested in sharpening your insights-mining skills to find rich data and human insights to build more effective communications
TOOLS/TECH/PROCESSES
- Have a solid working knowledge of all key social management, scheduling and reporting tools
- Liaise with platform representatives and initiate opportunities for collaboration with the agency and clients
- Review websites / social analytics and create recommendations
- Assist clients and the agency with 'social ways of working' processes
CLIENT UNDERSTANDING/RELATIONSHIPS
- Be familiar with the social requirements of your clients' business, category trends as well as brand and social guidelines
- Build strong relationships with the broader agency team and the clients you work with
**Required Experience/Skills/Capabilities**
