This role supports the ongoing governance across a portfolio of Financial Institutions customers in particular Banks and NBFI's to ensure non-financial risk and the business requirements remain well-managed.
The opportunity includes involvement in the Customer Due Diligence process to provide the KYC Owner ongoing AML/CTF and Sanctions information across a portfolio of high-risk customers, where ANZ offers Vostro Account services.
The role will report to the Director of Financial Crime Governance, FIG but will provide direct support across multiple key financial crime stakeholders including Relationship Managers (KYC Owners), Financial Crime Threat Management Operations and Transaction Banking Specialists.
What will your day look like
**This role is accountable for**:
Risk Management / Regulatory Compliance
Understand and ensure compliance with internal policy and procedural requirements as well as regulatory obligations.
Ability to summarise AML/CTF and Sanctions risk through the ongoing enhanced Due Diligence process of Vostro customers.
Assisting with the Financial Crime reviews that impact FI customers and ensure the required information is provided, assessed, and understood with ability to report on the portfolio
Adhering to all established policy, procedures, and regulations applicable to Correspondent Banks and NBFI's
Customer
Working closely with Internal Stakeholders including the FIG MLRO, Banks Relationship Managers, Financial Crime Threat Management and Transaction Banking Financial Institutions Team
Contributing to multi-jurisdiction alignment of know your customer best practices
Providing guidance for Relationship Managers on potential customer AML/CTF and Sanctions Risks
Understanding the jurisdictions where Vostro Account holders and their linked entities operate and originate their payment/capital flows.Cost Management
Ensuring work is completed with mínimal errors to avoid rework
Support implementation of project accord deliverables into the team
Management/monitoring of customer indicators (financial/non-financial) for the business
People and Values Momentum
Engagement with all key stakeholders
Living the ANZ iCARE values at all times
Collaboration with Operational teams to support Due Diligence delivery
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
**'Must have' knowledge, skills and experiences**:
Interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with FIG Relationship Managers.
Adaptable to change
Sound communication skills (written and verbal), organising and prioritising skills
Ability to work independently
Have an eye for detail and be able to deliver to deadlines
Willingness to develop knowledge in KYC Due Diligence and Transactional Banking Products, in particular clearing and payments
'Good to have' knowledge, skills and experiences
Hands-on experience in the different aspects of Due Diligence or international payment products
An understanding of ANZ's KYC standards, processes, and systems
Computer competency. In particular, Microsoft Word, Excel for reporting requirements and other Microsoft Office tools
Understanding of FIG Clients range of financial & product needs (Markets, TB & Loans)
Graduate with past experience in relationship, payments, financial crime or operations
Strong focus on internal customer satisfaction and delivery driven.
