HAND IN HAND NSW is a growing company that is looking for suitably qualified Disability Support Workers in the Sydney region. We are a dedicated and passionate team who deliver high quality services that place the client at the centre of our care. Our focus is on continually assisting our clients along their journey to meet and achieve their goals set within their NDIS plan.

**About the role**

The Support Worker will be required to travel to various locations to deliver services. The role will undertake various support item delivery in accordance with the participants NDIS plan. Support categories include; assistance with daily life, transport, assistance with social and community participation, improved daily living skills etc.

**Key responsibilities include, however, are not limited to**:

- Commit to regular and consistent shift schedules
- Support individuals with intellectual, mental health and/or physical disabilities
- Be creative and resourceful in assisting clients with achieving their goals
- Be passionate, empathetic and provide the best care for each individual
- Communicate effectively and build positive relationships with your client, their family members and carers (where applicable)
- Follow ongoing risk assessment procedures and management plans provided by the Team Leader
- Submission of case notes

**Skills and Experience**
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication and resilience skills
- Adaptability - being able to work with a range of individuals who may display various challenging behaviours

**Pre-employment requirements**:

- Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport or birth certificate
- A current valid Driver's License and an insured and registered vehicle
- Satisfactory Police Records Check
- Current Working With Children's Check
- Current valid First Aid Certificate
- Evidence of full COVID vaccination or valid medical exemption

**Desirable Requirements**
- Certificate ll/III/IV in Disability or Individual Support

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $22.87 - $48.56 per hour
