Minda Allied Health has undergone significant growth in our Allied Health team, with newly upgraded consulting suites, purpose-built gym, team offices and upgrades to our pool and hydrotherapy services.
We want to hear from qualified Behaviour Support Practitioners of any level of experience, who are enthusiastic about working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support people living with a disability. We offer part time or full-time options and on the job training and support.
**What you will do**:
- Develop robust behaviour support plans that promote client choice and control.
- Provide training, and consultancy to families, carers and staff in positive behaviour support.
- Complete documentation and reporting to comply with NDIS practice standards
- Attend and participate in case discussions and behaviour support team meetings.
- Participate in research and other projects as required.
**What you need for Success**
- Experience supporting persons with disability including complex behaviour needs.
- Ability to conduct behavioral assessments and develop behaviour support plans.
- Able to communicate information to clients in a clear and logical format and understand issues from the perspective of persons living with disability.
- Knowledge of the complex support needs for people living with disability and co-occurring conditions.
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Developmental education, Physiotherapy, Speech Pathology, Nursing or Special Education or other qualification required to deliver behaviour support services.
- Registered as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
