**Job Description**:
Nine's Queensland Publicity team promotes Nine's programming and News brands. The team also manages all the communications for Nine Queensland, including liaison with media contacts.

Your role as Publicity Assistant will involve providing direct assistance to the Communications Manager - Qld, and supporting the overall day-to-day running of the Publicity Department.

This is a rare opportunity to break into TV publicity in Queensland, and it will see you developing skills right across the industry. You will be learning from and building networks with the best in the business. The Publicity team is small but mighty, and this role is key to the teams' success. Day to day you will:

- Maintain and update media contact and distribution lists
- Manage the distribution of media releases and daily ratings reports
- Coordinate travel arrangements for on air artists and publicity staff
- Coordinate and assist with events, including liaising with internal departments to develop invites, styling, seating arrangements, catering, travel, artist schedules as directed by publicity, follow-up RSVPs
- Assist the team with organisation and execution of photo shoots/media drops
- Establish and maintain relationships with media and interstate publicity departments
- Maintain and update 9Network's media access site - Nine Media Room
- Undertake general administrative and assistant duties for the team

What we would like to see on your resume:

- Qualifications in Communication and/or Media, or relevant work experience
- Media exposure or television experience would be great, even as an intern or work experience, but it is not essential
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- The ability to work productively within a team environment and to manage multiple projects
