**About the Company**
Davidson has partnered with a leading retailer within the Energy sector. This company is part of Energy Queensland and was established in 2016 to build on our proud history of powering Queensland and create a community-focused energy business ready for the future.
They are currently in the process of implementing a new system and require a Receipting Officer to join the team on a 3 month contract to assist in the final stages of the implementation.
**About the Role**
The Retail Receipting Officer role is responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient processing of customer payments and other credits received by Ergon Energy's retail business, as well as ensuring integrity of financial reporting, driving operational efficiencies and delivering an enhanced customer and community experience.
- 3 Month Fixed Term Contract, looking for someone available as soon as possible.
- Assisting in the final stages of a new system being implemented. Focusing on the final cutover process.
- Timely and accurate receipting of retail customer payments including manual electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments, processing of direct debit reports, dishonoured payments, rejected payments, presented cheques, offline payments, refunds of credit and transfer of customer credits to accurately reflect customer account balances.
- Review, uploading and reconciliation of receipting reports, payment files, refund files, agent records and banking statements utilising the company's systems and banking software to reconcile accounts and ensure appropriate and accurate recording of transactions
- Conduct investigations of unallocated receipts by interrogating relevant integrated financial systems, both internal and external, to facilitate and resolve timely allocations to appropriate parties and customers, including reconciling complex consolidated customer accounts.
- Support the optimization of the meter to cash process through the critical analysis and rectification of issues that detract from the company's ability to provision timely receipting, including accurate addressing and delivery of all correspondence, billing and credit notices.
**About You**
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in either Finance, Commerce, Business, Accounting and/or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Able to work effectively in a small high performing team.
- Flexibility in working outside ordinary hours to meet work demands during peek times.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven experience in a similar role (within the Energy industry is beneficial but not essential)
