**About the Centre/Service**

Progress Kindergarten is a highly regarded sessional kinder that has been operating in Ascot Vale for over 75 years. Educators work closely with families, including the committee of management, to ensure ongoing quality improvement across the service. In 2022 our service was rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard. Progress offers welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces, a well-resourced setting with a focus on natural resources and sustainability. Our programs are child-centred and focus on supporting children to develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. We are a small, friendly and supportive team, who are committed to excellence in education and creating positive learning environments for children. Progress Kindergarten is committed to child safety. We have a zero tolerance approach to child abuse and our specific policies and practice will support and uphold this. We are committed to the participation and empowerment of all children and the cultural safety of Aboriginal children. **About The Role**
- Work collaboratively with the team to foster children's development through purposeful, intentional teaching practices
- Develop and implement a play-based program with your team that fosters the development of curiosity and a love of learning
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment that aligns with the service philosophy and values
- Collaborate with other kindergarten educators to create a cohesive and supportive learning community

**About You**
- Committed to continuous learning, critical reflection and ongoing quality improvement
- Commitment to working collaboratively with team members to build high quality programs
- Able to build warm, engaging and professional working relationships with families
- Experience in early childhood education preferred
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and passion for making a meaningful contribution

**Qualifications**
- Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Hold a current Working with Children Check
- Training in First Aid including Anaphylaxis and Asthma
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Child Safe Standards
- Have completed Mandatory Reporting/Child Safety Training
