**About this role**:
Direct Focus Solutions (DFS) is looking to recruit disability and community support workers in the Newcastle area to provide ongoing support work services to clients in the region. These services would involve supporting the client with their daily living activities and facilitating their access to the community to help support their social connections.

**Requirements**:

- Personal Care, Disability, Community Services, or Aged Care qualifications and/or experience.
- The ability to reliably commute to, and work within, Newcastle and its surrounding areas.
- Knowledge of personal care supports and the safe delivery of medication.
- Experience with NDIS programs and participants.
- The ability to provide ongoing and consistent supervision for clients to help support their safety and wellbeing.
- The ability to attend flexible support arrangements for the client as required, such as day shifts, afternoon and evening shifts, and potentially overnight/sleepover shifts, as required.
- Experience working with complex clients.
- Computer literacy to interact successfully with our client management system.
- A driver's license and have reliable access to a vehicle prior to employment.

Successful applicants will be required to:

- Facilitate supports for clients of all ages and abilities.
- Be flexible in accordance with the specific needs of our clients. This will include the ability to attend flexible support arrangements for the client as required, such as day shifts, afternoon and evening shifts, and potentially overnight/sleepover shifts, as required.
- Successfully support clients with complex needs as required.
- Collaborate as part of a team and work with a diverse range of clients.

DFS is prepared to support individuals to obtain the following checks as a further condition of their employment:

- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- NDIS Worker's Check (NDISWC)
- Police Check
