Medequip is the leading provider of medical equipment services to local authorities and theNHSacross the UK, delivering a wide range of equipment and support to people in their own homes, keeping people independent for longer.About the roleAs the Recycling Team Leaderfor Medequip Assistive Technology Ltd you will ensure that all aspects of the recycling are maintained in an orderly and efficient mannerYour day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:Managing the repair department.Complete necessary training to carry out LOLER and PAT testing to the required equipment.Managing the warranty / scrapping systemOrdering spare parts and consumables and manage levels accordinglyWaste management - management of all types of waste daily including liaising with waste suppliers.Communicate with OTs and Medequip procurement about standard stock & recycled specials.Manage special products, including 360 video requests in a timely manner.Process recycled specials promptly and efficiently within recycling targets including any repairs.To ensure procedures in place are followed by your teamAchieve stock levels and values, Cleaning and Repair KPIs on a daily basis.Keep all workspaces and environments clean and tidy.Keep HR data for all staff up to date on all platforms.Arrange duties to ensure all areas of the recycling department are adequately covered to deliver the service levels/targets agreed with contracts.About youAbove all, you will identify and align with our company values:We empower people to be accountable for their actions and performance.We help people with empathy, courtesy, dignity and kindness.We show respect and are trusted by our colleagues, suppliers and customers.We believe in teamwork and are passionate about our work.We encourage innovation and the development of technology.We embrace change and seek to achieve excellence.We deliver cost effective, efficient and safe healthcare solutions.Qualifications and experience required.Must have some experience in a team leader positionIdeally some experience in a public, healthcare or service based industryExcellent communication, both verbally and writtenWhat we offer29 days holiday moving to a max of 33 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays)Continued professional development, training and learning support and opportunities for career progression.Life assuranceCycle to work schemeFree eye test, provided by SpecsaversCare First employee assistance program including free counselling.Access to Perkbox discount platformFree uniformFree DBS checkWe welcome applications from all sections of the Community as an Equal Opportunities Employer.
