This part-time (22.8 hours per week), 12-month maximum term role will be based at our South Brisbane campus.Mater Research is a recognised leader in medical research.

We are committed to working closely with Mater Health, Mater Education, and our growing network of partners and collaborators to turn scientific discovery into the best possible treatment, care, and outcomes for patients and our broader community.Salary: $45.76 - $50.05 per hour plus 12% superannuation.What you'll be doingThe Clinical Trial Recruitment Officer at Mater plays a vital role in identifying and engaging potential participants for bladder and ovarian cancer studies, collaborating with clinicians, research staff, and patients to maintain ethical standards and support the success of the trial program.
Your responsibilities will include:Identify eligible patients for cancer studies through screening and referralsLiaise with clinicians to confirm eligibility and engage participantsApproach patients ethically to introduce studies and assess interestCoordinate pre-consent discussions and screening activitiesSupport Clinical Trial Project Manager with various tasksBuild relationships with clinical teams for smooth recruitment processesAssist in preparing participant forms and data entryContribute to ethics submissions and maintain GCP standardsPromote Mater's mission and values in all interactionsEnsure compliance with safety and IP guidelinesParticipate in annual reviews and career development discussionsAbout youTo excel in this role, you will have:Experience working in a healthcare settingStrong interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder communicationProficient in Microsoft suite applicationsAHPRA nursing registration or relevant Health Science Degree (desirable)Current ICH GCP certification with understanding of clinical trial principles (desirable)Organisational and analytical skills for efficient project managementExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholdersFamiliarity with project-specific protocols and standard processesFluency in EnglishWhy join us?
