The core responsibilities of the Product Manager includes but is not limited to:
- Aligns ELMO's company vision and strategy with overarching product objectives to provide context for planning and prioritisation.
- Align's ELMO's Go-To-Market (GTM) plan and how ELMO engages customers across the life-cycle (Acquire, Implement, Support & Engage, Value-Add and Retain).
- Proactively develops product domain knowledge (T-shaped knowledge - deep in the Product Managers own product domain but also developing knowledge across adjacent solutions) including core features / functionality, market expectations, industry trends, and competitive analysis.
- Establishes and maintains productive, professional working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Consults with appropriate internal stakeholders in requirements gathering and development, and proactively keeps the business informed of project progress through forums including sprint reviews, portfolio wall, product committees and product showcase.
- Facilitate effective roadmap discussion and invites challenge for area of responsibility with key internal stakeholders.
- Effectively explain to stakeholders the trade-offs between one initiative and another and ensure there is unilateral understanding of the reasons for roadmap execution ordering.
- Evangelises the ELMO product suite to create confidence and build excitement and buy-in for the product vision internally and with customers/external partners.
- Actively seeks to develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer experience.
- Works with engineering to understand risk and impact of potential product changes (new features / enhancements) for customers and internally, and proactively consults with appropriate stakeholder to identify and address potential challenges.
- Proactively seeks to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that increase revenue, facilitate high customer retention and improve operating efficiency.
- Engages regularly with customers / prospects to validate problems and opportunities, including reviewing feedback submitted via communities and other forums.
