Job Title: Software Engineering Manager for Ubuntu Gaming
This role is focused on optimising and expanding the Ubuntu gaming experience, specifically with regards to Steam Snap. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead your team in this effort, managing project timelines, collaborating with stakeholders, and conducting code reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead team of software engineers in optimising and expanding the Ubuntu gaming experience
Manage project timelines, balancing feature improvements with deadlines
Collaborate with stakeholders to align team's work with other teams and company objectives
Conduct code reviews, focusing on quality, performance, and modern design principles
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in technical subject or compelling narrative about alternative chosen path
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with upstream projects and partners
Familiarity and experience with Linux graphics stack spanning user-space components to low-level kernel drivers
Exceptional software project management skills, encompassing risk assessment and resource allocation
Ability to balance technical leadership with effective team management
