**The Opportunity**:
The Project Officer's primary responsibility is to provide daily administration support to Samaritan's PSP programs. It is a crucial position within the team and provides direct support to Case Managers, Team Leaders and the Community Services Manager by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, assisting with intake and referrals, maintaining databases & data reporting along with other general project and administration tasks.
- Conduct research and analysis, develop and document policy, procedures, and practice guides in accordance with relevant Legislation, Quality Standards and Program Guidelines
- Maintain systems that ensure data integrity, analysis and compliance reporting against key accountabilities.
- Maintain information and knowledge management systems, and provide quantitative evidence to support service planning, delivery, and development.
- Assist with contract and relationship management, bid and tender management, and the design and implementation of new social and community service programs.
- Promote continuous improvement in service provision and engagement in accordance with legislation, policy, and best practice standards.

**What we're looking for**
- A working knowledge of the legislation, policies and standards relevant to child protection, statutory out-of-home-care, the permanency support program and child safe organisations
- Tertiary qualifications in social work/social science/psychology or a related field with significant experience working in a human services environment.
- Ability to deliver accountable, collaborative and evidence-based practice that respects the culture and context of children, young people, their family and community.
- Ability to maintain timely, accurate and relevant records for reporting and information sharing
- Excellent communication, teamwork skills and ability to work independently and proactively.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Willingness to undertake a National Criminal History Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes)
- Current drivers' licence
