Our client is a large federal government agency. They are seeking an EL2 Program Manager to join on a long term contracting basis, and play a key role in uplifting the PMO including governance and project delivery framework, and managing programs end to end in the payments transformation portfolio.
- 12 month contract plus 12 month extensions
- Richmond or Geelong based, with 3 days in the office per week
- Daily rate of $837 inc super

**The role**
As a Program Manager, your responsibilities will role include but are not limited to:

- Managing and further developing the PMO to bring a high-quality project delivery framework to the program
- Developing and implementing program and project plans, governance arrangements and operational integration in accordance with the Agency's project management framework
- Ensuring program and project deliverables and milestones are met while reporting on project outputs/outcomes to stakeholders
- Preparing and reviewing written material including business cases, plans, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentation
- Identifying, assessing, managing, escalating, and monitoring program and project risks, issues and benefits, including developing treatment strategies
- Analysing project performance, setting strategic direction and priorities to coordinate quality management activities to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose
- Developing and delivering optimisation initiatives to support service improvement and performance in line with strategic objectives
- Undertaking the fiscal management of the program including program budgeting, staff resourcing and management
- Developing, implementing and managing a learning and development curriculum for program and project management and related capabilities, in alignment with the Agency's project management and learning and development frameworks

**About you**
The successful applicant will have:

- Extensive Program Management experience
- Strong skills in managing finance, resources, deliverables and reporting
- Experience in improving PMO, project delivery frameworks, governance, etc.
- Proven ability to deliver complex strategic programs such as transformations or adoption of new technologies, in large government or corporate environments
- Exceptional ability to engage and influence stakeholders, drive decision making, and manage conflicting or challenging situations
