**Who are we looking for?**

We are seeking a Emergency Management Officer to join Campus Services and Procurement, Administrative Division.

This position develops and implements emergency preparedness and response for QUT campuses (including distributed sites). Responsible for emergency response training, equipment, processes, and arrangements, including identifying emergency deficiencies at the University. Ensuring emergency procedures and evacuation programs meet legislation and required standards.

**About the area**

Campus Services and Procurement sits within the Administrative Division and is responsible for a range of campus services to support the activities of the university. The department comprises the following areas:
Commercial Operations
Estate Planning
Integrated Transport Services
QUT Bookshop
Security and Emergency Management
Travel.

**What you need to succeed**
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to a degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to develop networks and partnerships across disciplines
Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
- Current 'C' Class drivers' licence
- Hold and maintain a current Fire Safety Advisor Qualification

**Desirable**
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Desirable
