Job description

An opportunity awaits for a **Medical Receptionist** to join our team at Vincentia Bay Medical.

We require an individual who is a **highly motivated**, **enthusiastic individual** with a **"can do"** attitude towards all tasks, ability to work autonomously and in a team is a must

Your responsibilities will include:

- Open and Close clinic as per set procedure
- Greet patients and other callers in a professional and courteous manner
- Make appointments for patients
- Ensure medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
- Accurately process patient payments via cash, Eftpos, and direct bill transaction.
- Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC, Workcover.
- Knowledge of the MBS schedule and correct billing procedures
- Deal with referring doctors, hospital staff, pharmacists etc courteously and helpfully
- Attend to patient enquiries
- Fill in the roster when staff is away, on holidays and sick leave.
- Maintain the reception waiting area and consulting rooms tidy including the clean up of spills if necessary.
- Ensure the accurate storage and retrieval of patient and practice records with appropriate scanning, faxing and filing of all documents.
- At all times maintain confidentiality of patient personal and financial information.
- Complete recalls.
- Support the day to day operations of the medical centre.
- Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills.
- High level of computer literacy and IT knowledge.
- Experience using Medical Director and Pracsoft desirable.
- Current Police Check
- Current Working with Children clearance
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate
