As a Procurement Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling our procurement team to actualise their commercial agreements effectively. You will collaborate closely with category teams to operationalise procurement agreements, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with our client's strategic goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Define and communicate best practices and guiding principles for the end-to-end category management cycle.
- Establish control mechanisms to ensure the proper execution of commercial agreements within the Source to Pay (S2P) process.
- Provide transparency to internal stakeholders on operationalisation rules, standards, and performance metrics.
- Educate and empower the Source to Contract (S2C) team to make informed decisions and execute agreements effectively.
- Develop a community of practice to share skills and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Identify strategic initiatives impacting buy channels and contract operationalization, advocating for necessary changes.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Engineering, Law and/or Supply Chain or in a related field.
- 3-5 years of relevant Source to Pay experience, including project management, change management, and continuous improvement in procurement (well regarded).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in procurement/data master modules (advantageous but not essential).
- Experience with data modeling, data standardisation, and digital analytics tools, highly valued.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage complex priorities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes and a commitment to safety in all operations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Multitasking abilities, self-motivated, and a team player with a positive attitude.
