**Community Support Worker (Day Centre Focus) - In Home Aged Care**
- $1,000 Sign on Bonus - conditions apply*

**The Position**:
We are currently recruiting passionate and caring individuals who are looking to make a difference in our Aged Care clients lives. You will be working at our Day Centres, Overnight Respite Cottage & in the community providing in home care.

**About the Role**:
We are looking for someone with a vibrant, engaging personality with strong communication skills. Someone who is confident to engage a group in a meaningful and purposeful way through services that help promote health, wellbeing and independence of our wonderful Aged Care Clients.

Working in our Day Centres, Overnight Cottage Respite & In Home Care services, you will be providing the following services:

- Day/Wellness Centre:_

Currently we have Thursday shifts available at Willoughby & weekend shifts at Chantal Cottage.
- Social support to clients in a group setting
- Following care plan to deliver care needs
- Assist with personal care if needed
- Adhoc client transport if needed
- Meal service following food handling guidelines, morning tea and lunch
- Preparation of day centre programs and activities
- resources available to guide and assist
- Deliver the program to the clients, eg, trivia, quiz, exercise, craft and art, sing along, games
- Opening and closing of day centre, setup and clean up
- Day centre hours are 10am-3.00pm inclusive (Chantal and WDC)
- Provide client feedback to the coordinator
- Attend client outings when organised
- Overnight Cottage Respite: _

Currently we have day & overnight shifts available on a monthly basis
- Medication & assisting to our Overnight Cottage Respite clients and completing documentation
- Personal Care, showering and toileting, assisting with dressing clients
- Social support to clients
- One on one support with clients
- 8-hour shifts, - morning/afternoon, afternoon/evening, night/over night
- Feedback and case notes
- In Home Care: _

Provide quality personalised care to our valued aged care clients in their own homes through services such as:

- General household tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cleaning bathroom & kitchen, changing beds, hanging up washing etc
- Personal care such as showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Meal preparation
- Social Support
- Respite
- Transport to appointments and shopping etc

**Requirements for the role**:

- An Australian driver's licence and a reliable insured motor vehicle is essential
- Reliability and compassion for the elderly
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent - _advantage but not essential, you can complete this through our traineeship program_****:

- Previous experience as a Home Care Worker will be highly regarded but not required
- Evidence of Flu & Covid vaccinations
