**Are you our missing ingredient?**

We're on the hunt for a highly motivated, proactive and curious IP Manager to join our team and help our company to achieve our big, audacious goals to transform the plant-based and alternative protein sector.

**You** **will**
- Develop and execute the Nourish IP strategy in consultation with external patent and trademark counsel, assuming accountability for its success and actively driving initiatives to strengthen our patent portfolio.
- Collaborate with the innovation (R&D) team to develop R&D plans that support the IP strategy and goals.
- Work with the innovation team to identify, assess, and create new IP.
- Track and manage IP generated internally and through external collaborations.
- Provide guidance and training to our team, educating and raising awareness on relevant IP issues, ensuring a strong understanding IP principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with the Commercial and Innovation teams to review and refine relevant agreements with collaborators and partners.
- Collaborate with the Commercial and Innovation teams to identify new innovation opportunities.
- Cultivate an environment of open communication, trust, and shared goals, contributing to a collaborative and supportive workplace culture.

**You have**:

- A background in IP and patent management.
- Demonstrated experience in creating, expanding and maintaining strong IP portfolios.
- A history of working at research organisations companies, or IP firms to build patent portfolios.
- Proficiency in building IP landscapes and identifying gaps for innovation, enabling strategic decision-making and maximizing opportunities.
- Drive and enthusiasm and a desire to make a difference to the company direction.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills - must be able to communicate clearly both within the organization and externally to drive projects forward.

**It would be great, but not essential, if you also had**:

- Patent attorney qualifications.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a field related to biotechnology.
- Experience working in a start-up environment.

- Located in, or willing to relocate to Canberra.
- Thorough and attentive to detail with strong analytical ability.
- Innately curious, constantly seeking to expand your knowledge and understanding.
- A self-starter and can manage up as well as down with equal ease.
- A creative problem solver and fast mover, even in times of uncertainty.
