We are looking for an experienced Workplace Health and Safety professional to fill multiple roles as an APS6 Disability Liaison Officer. The roles are based in Sydney, pay $58.50 plus super hour, and are on an initial twelve month contract with the possibility of further extension.

The role will have a considerable level of public contact in relation to complex, difficult or sensitive issues. It may liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders in a representational role on behalf of the branch/division.

As an APS6 Disability Liaison Officer responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Providing sound advice and working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders regarding Workplace Adjustments, access and inclusion and related Human Resource (HR) issues.

Initiating, co-ordinating and monitoring an employee with disability's workplace assessments and provision of workplace adjustments and supports.

Connecting and co-ordinating people involved in the workplace adjustments and access and inclusion supports process.

Working collaboratively with the wider division to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and to build disability confidence.

5+ years' experience in Human Resources (HR) discipline and experience supporting people with disabilities

Case management skills (preferably supporting people with disability)

Experience in specialist areas including managing illness/injury and return to work, workplace adjustments, policy interpretation, disability workplace assessments, incident investigation and risk assessments

Negotiation skills and ability to influence (role works with stakeholders at all levels of the Agency)

Policy writing skills and interpretation

Formal qualifications in disability, WHS and/or safety related discipline
