**What you'll be doing**

The Liaison Officer will provide recovery oriented clinical interventions to consumers and their carers throughout the pre-admission process by providing mental health assessments, liaising with family/carer, community supports and health professionals and participating in networking and promotional activities. The Liaison Officer works closely with the Shoalhaven Mental Health Sub-Acute Unit Multidisciplinary team and ISLHD Acute and Community Mental Health Services to effectively co-ordinate all step-up or step-down admissions to SSMHS.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Degree in Social Work (eligible for AASW membership); Occupational Therapy (current registration with Occupational Therapy Board/AHPRA); Registered Nurse (current registration with NSW Nurses & Midwives Board/AHPRA); Psychologist (current registration with NSW Psychologists Board/AHPRA).
- Demonstrated high level effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in complex psychosocial mental health assessment, planning and delivery of recovery oriented mental health interventions.
- Demonstrated commitment to the incorporation of Mental Health Recovery principles into day to day clinical practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (Class C - unrestricted).
